Ephemeral: a minute of silence

Ephemeral SCULPTURES

A MINUTE OF SILENCE TO BE TOGETHER (St-Rémi-d’Amherst, Quebec, Canada)

Through my work A minute of silence to be together, I address the links between nature and our human nature.

Abstract human figures become archetypes to emphasize the human structure common to all peoples and cultures.

With a thought for future generations, my work is a (visual) hymn to reconciliation with nature, to the simplicity of being, to collaboration and the renewal of our ways of life. Perhaps its whispers can create a breach towards the silence that inhabits us, the fertile silence from which renewal emerges?

Bad weather will transform the sculptures over the days and weeks. I thus underline the impermanence of matter and our passage on earth.

Through my work One minute of silence for togetherness, I bring forward the links between nature and our human nature.

The abstract human figures it represents stand for archetypes, to remember the common structure of all human beings including all cultures and colours of skin.

With thoughts for the future generations, One minute of silence to be together is a visual hymn for a reconciliation with nature, with simplicity, with collaboration and for a renewing of our lifestyle. May his whispers reach the inner silence which lives in us, the one fertile, from where could arise a renewal!

The sun and rain will transform the sculptures through days and weeks. It underlines the impermanence of organic matter and of our passage on earth.
